Cantor Laura Stein, LMSW, was ordained from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion's Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music in 2018. She also holds a Master of Social Work from New York University. Currently, Laura serves at the cantor at The New Jewish Home and as a social worker at Mount Sinai Hospital's Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery. Laura specializes in helping couples, clients, and families align themselves with their spiritual values, so that they may live lives of meaning and integrity. She has skied everywhere from Santiago, Chile to Switzerland and Italy, and loves reading Spanish American literature. Laura plays guitar and in addition to Jewish music, loves Dar Williams, the Indigo Girls, and showtunes.
